I'm a 20 year old dude from Seattle interested in human well-being. I like studying how some of us flourish while others get sick.
There are a lot of sick people in the world. People suffer from depression, cancer, and chronic pain in addition to an unfortunate variety of other ills.
I believe a lot of these health problems can be prevented or healed by eating, moving, and living like our ancestors, who were mostly unaffected by the diseases that plague modern society.
I also like to travel and practice lifestyle design. Last year I took a gap year to have fun, break out of the normal path, and find my own direction. This year I am hoping to throw down some roots while going to school again. Here is some more detailed info about what I've been up to these last few years:
In 2011 I worked for Barefoot Ted at Luna Sandals and attended Dickinson College. In 2012 I got my personal training certification, got a nutrition certification, wrote my first eBook, and worked as a TEFL teacher in Madrid while staying with a host family. In 2013 I couchsurfed around Europe, ski bummed at Crystal Mountain, WWOOFed in Holbox Island, Mexico, got a youth fitness certification, and wrote a few more eBooks. Right now I attend University of Puget Sound and work on various entrepreneurial projects. I have written for Paleo Living Magazine, Paleo Lifestyle Magazine, and Natural News and am a regular contributor for Paleo Magazine.
My ultimate goal though is just to live well and help others live well on a daily basis.
